Cascade Locks

Welcome to our section about the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, Cascade Locks. Located just 45 short minutes from Portland off of I-I-84 (Exit 44), this often overlooked town offers some of the most beautiful views that the Gorge has to offer highlighted by the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Those lucky enough to discover this area indulge in world class hiking trails and great fishing. "Must see/do" activities here include the Historical Museum, a ride on the Sternwheeler, buying some fresh catch (fish) from the Native Americans in the Charburger parking lot and getting a world famous GIANT ice cream cone from the East Wind Driver In. (There's a reason that there's always a fat line there, it's BIG!)
